Dental Bridges

Dental model with fixed bridge restoration

A fixed bridge is a non-removable oral appliance that fills the gaps in your smile. Fixed bridges are a tried and true solution for restoring teeth. We believe that each tooth serves a purpose whether to bite, tear, grind, or to aid in speech. Fixed Bridges require us to reduce healthy, adjoining teeth in order to anchor the bridge permanently. Because of this reason, Katy Family dentist usually prefers to offer dental implants.

Conversely, dental implants are a permanent solution to replace an oral structure that is missing one or more teeth for various reasons like infection, gum disease or injury. Implants not only restore the mouth's structure and allow a patient to chew and speak normally again, but they also preserve the jaw bone from degradation. In addition, dental implants do not require reducing down healthy, adjacent teeth. Once the bone has completely healed around your implant, a crown will be custom created for you, restoring your teeth to their natural look and feel.
